Dates & Dentures: Introductions

Since Boolprop's doing bachelor challenges as part of our February events, I decided it would be fun to do a quick run of the challenge, with a little special twist on it.

Now, I have a habit of favouring supernatural sims, so an all paranormal bachelor pad didn't seem like enough of a twist (plus it looked like a few other people were considering it in the thread above), so I decided to try a different group of sims that I had not yet touched in 4... elders.

Welcome to Dates & Dentures, a bachelor challenge featuring 7 eligible elders, and one bachelorette. Gameplay starts in the next post, but first, a rundown of the gang. I used the maxis premade sims as a base, and then modified faces/looks from there. They're all sort of based on old people tropes/stereotypes:

Regan, our bachelorette. Her past four spouses all 'disappeared' under 'mysterious circumstances'. Regan has many closets in her 5 story home, and all or them may or may not be filled with skeletons.

She's romantic, materialistic, and maybe a little bit evil. Just a little.

Allen. A mean snob who hates children. His character is the old man who enjoys yelling at children to get off his lawn. Yes, that includes the boulevard.

Barbara. Inspired by the kind of ladies who loves floral and doilies, and has multiple cabinets of "good china" that are never actually used, under any circumstances.

Good, neat, and a bit of a perfectionist.

Geoffery. The fisherman grandpa type. Enjoys food, the outdoors, and is prone to bouts of gloominess. Probably lost his first wife to a whale or something.

Glen. He's that old guy who's really into fitness, and wearing shorts that are much too short.

Bro, active, and outgoing. Too outgoing. Would walk around a gym locker room naked, and strike up conversation with any poor soul unfortunate enough to make eye contact.

Jermaine. A bookish man who firmly believes that the old days were the best days, and can not be convinced otherwise. Twitter? Never heard of it; Jermaine once trained a carrier pigeon to deliver his mail, and that's the only method he trusts.

Self-assured, a major bookworm, and lazy (but not as lazy as those darn millennials).

Joyce. Enjoys baking goodies with love, and will not let you leave the house without taking some leftovers home. A cheerful foodie who considers everyone family.

Sadie. The cat lady. Did not make that sweater herself, but would tell you that she did anyways. She owns 5 cats, if you don't count the strays that she feeds. There's enough cat hair on her clothes that you could probably make a 6th cat out of it.

Cat lover, a bit of a loner, and clumsy.
